📚 Back to School 2026 — Sarina State High School

🏫Uniform Shop — Opening Hours & Info

  • The P&C Uniform Shop at Sarina SHS carries the full range of required uniform clothing items.
  • Important: Black lace-up school shoes (leather or vinyl) are not supplied by the Uniform Shop — families must purchase these separately.
  • The School Dress Code can be found here.

Opening hours (2026):

  • Opening hours for back to school and normal term hours can be found here.
  • If you need uniforms outside of these hours (for example, for a new student), appointments can be arranged.
  • Payment accepted via cash, cheque (Payable to Sarina SHS P&C), EFTPOS, or Direct Deposit.

📝Stationery & Book/Resource Lists

  • Sarina SHS publishes a stationery list for every year level (Years 7–12).
  • For some subjects (e.g. Food & Fibre Production, Engineering, Sport, etc.) there may be extra required items (e.g. mouthguard, boots, hat, long pants or safe footwear) — check the stationery list relevant to your child's year & subjects.

💻BYO Device (BYOD) Program — Requirements & Apps/Software

What's required:

  • Sarina SHS operates a BYOD program. For Years 7–9 (junior secondary): students bring an iPad. For Years 10–12 (senior secondary): students bring a Laptop (Windows).
  • For 2026: Year 7 students — an iPad is preferred. As an alternative, a Windows laptop (meeting the minimum specifications) is also acceptable.
  • Find the BYO Device Handbook (iPad or Laptop) with the full technical requirements, enrolment instructions, and acceptable device types here.
  • Unsupported devices: Android tablets/devices, Chromebooks, and Apple MacBooks — these are not supported under the Sarina SHS BYO program.

What you need to install / have ready:

  • For iPads (Years 7–9): an Apple ID is required to enrol the iPad via the school's device-management system (e.g. Intune / Company Portal) and download necessary apps.
  • For Windows laptops (Years 10–12): install required licensed software (for example, Microsoft Office 365) and ensure up-to-date antivirus, as well as any subject-specific software as required.
  • The school provides a “Day Hire" program: if your student's BYO device fails or is unavailable, they can borrow a school-owned laptop during school hours (for free).

What to Do Next / What to Check

  • Visit the Sarina SHS website → Enrolments → Resource Scheme → “Stationery Lists" to download the correct list for your child's year and subjects.
  • Check the Uniform Shop price list (PDF) and plan to get uniform items — remember to buy black lace-up shoes separately.
  • If you're buying a BYO device: review the BYO Device Specifications to make sure the device is supported — iPad for Years 7–9 and a compatible Windows laptop for Years 10–12.
  • Prepare the device (install apps, enrol, charge, label) so it's ready for learning in 2026.

We can't wait to welcome all new and returning students back in 2026!
