As part of our student development program our Year 11 & 12 students attended an RACQ Docudrama program which is a road safety awareness initiative aimed at educating senior secondary students.
It was a 2.5-hour discussion-based program examining the Fatal Five, driving behaviours and attitudes and preventative and reactive strategies.
During the first session, students were shown a realistic video of a (mock) crash scenario. This video acted as a catalyst, kicking off discussion which explored the activities and decisions of the victims prior to the car crash.
The second session involved developing strategies to empower students to make safer choices and decisions when they are either a driver or passenger of a vehicle.
