The Sarina High GP Clinic is open every Thursday morning from 8.00 am - 12.00 pm
Sarina State High School is very pleased that we have been selected to participate in the GPs in Schools Pilot. Our school GP clinic offers secondary students the majority of services that young people are able to access from GPs in the community.
Our school's General Practitioner is Dr Awal Rajendra who is the principal Doctor for Awal Medical Centre. All visits to the GP will be provided at no cost to students or their families. The GP will bulk-bill all appointments through Medicare, so it is important students bring their Medicare card or Medicare number with them to their appointment.
The Pilot is part of the Queensland Government's Student Wellbeing Package. The initiative is designed to make it easier for adolescents in Queensland schools to access the healthcare they need.
This clinic will provide students with access to a GP one day a week, each Thursday, during the school terms and parents/carers are allowed to attend appointments with their students.
